Welcome to Mei Lee Productions

Mei Lee Productions is a mother–daughter creative studio devoted to building imaginative worlds through art, story, and tangible objects designed to live alongside everyday life.

Founded by visual artist and animator Kaili Mei Cay and writer Fawn Mei Dumke, the studio exists at the intersection of illustration, narrative storytelling, and emotional worldbuilding—where characters are treated not simply as designs, but as living fragments of larger stories still unfolding.

Some begin as sketches.
Some begin as poems.
Some arrive quietly, carrying entire worlds with them.

Together, we create collections inspired by those worlds—turning stories into art you can hold, carry, use, and return to.

Everything we create begins with storytelling.

A character may emerge from a line of poetry.
A forgotten place may appear inside an illustration.
A simple sketch may eventually grow into a larger universe filled with history, symbolism, and emotion.

Our products are extensions of those worlds.

An Intergenerational Creative Studio

At the heart of Mei Lee Productions is creative collaboration across generations.

Kaili brings visual storytelling, animation, character design, and illustration into the studio’s growing universe. Her artwork forms the visual language behind many of our worlds and characters.

Fawn brings poetry, fiction, screenwriting, and narrative development—helping shape the emotional atmosphere, themes, and stories that live beneath the artwork.

Additional artwork contributions from family members occasionally appear throughout our collections as well, allowing the studio to remain deeply personal, collaborative, and creatively connected.

This ongoing exchange between image and story is what defines Mei Lee Productions.
